What is State Congress?

State 4-H Congress

If a senior 4-H'er (9th-12th grade) places first in his/her category at the district competition, they will move on to the state competition. State Congress is held each July in Atlanta. This is a 4 day, 3 night event where the 4-H'er stays in a regal hotel, takes trips to Six Flags, the Georgia Capitol, CNN, and several tours, as well as attends several formal banquets in honor of the 4-H'ers. While there, the 4-H'er presents his/her presentation again, and goes through an interview about his/her portfolio. This trip is one of the highest honors in Georgia 4-H. The first place winners of the state competition, move on to the National Competition.
