Walker County 4-H Lamb Project
What is the Lamb Project?
The 4-H Lamb Project is great for kids who love animals and love to compete! Walker County youth in 1st-12th grade can purchase a lamb and participate in lamb shows throughout North Georgia with the 4-H club.
We begin purchasing lambs in April. Shows run from July through early October.
It is a fun and educational experience teaching, feeding, grooming and learning how to handle a lamb for competition.
If you are interested in this project and would like more information, please call the 4-H office at (706) 638-2548. We will set up a time for an orientation with you and your parents/guardians.
At the orientation, you and your parent will learn information such as cost, housing supplies and many other items.
For more information, contact your county Cooperative Extension office.
