Mission Statement
The mission of the Liberty County Extension is to respond to people's needs and interest in agriculture and natural resources, families, 4-H and youth through education and information, using unbiased, research-based education.
Liberty County Extension links the resources of the University of Georgia, Fort Valley State University, and Liberty County to provide educational programs, information, and assistance to the citizens of Liberty County. Liberty County Extension helps the citizens of Liberty County by addressing the following initiatives:
- Alternative Agricultural Opportunities
- Building Human Capital
- Competitiveness and Profitability of American Agriculture
- Conservation and Management of Natural Resources
- Family and Economic Well-Being
- Improving Nutrition, Diet and Health
- Revitalizing Rural America

Learning for Life is the goal of the department which, in turn, helps citizens make informed decisions with research-based nonbiased information.
