Master Gardners Visit Botanical Garden

Habersham Master Gardeners

Pictured above is a group of Habersham Master Gardener interns on a trip to the State Botanical Gardens in Athens on April 20th. 20 Habersham County Master Gardeners recently completed the 22 weeks of classroom instruction towards their Master Gardener Certification. If you have community projects that need horticulture expertise, let us know. Our interns need 50 hours of community service projects to obtain their full certification as Georgia Master Gardeners. Our next class will be hosted in January 2011 for new prospective interns.

Testing Services:
testingCounty Extension offices provide testing services through The University of Georgia Agricultural and Environmental Testing Laboratories. There are many types of tests available such as water, soil, chicken litter, plant tissue, hazardous chemicals, sludge, and feed and forage - just to name a few!

In order to assure that you receive the appropriate test for your situation, please contact the office at 706/754-2318 to learn test options, pricing, packaging, and office hours for bringing in your test samples.

Samples must be packaged properly for the test being performed. This is important because test results can be impacted by improper packaging.
