Holiday Greenery
Learn how to creating festive decorations for your home with dried and fresh natural materials. In this program, you will learn how to create festive garlands and wreaths and understand the tools needed to make your holiday surroundings more beautiful. Please register for this class by contacting the Extension Main Office at 404-298-4080.

DeKalb Extension Diabetes Support Group
This program is designed for persons who are diabetic, those caring for someone with diabetes or those who want to obtain more information about diabetes. Program objectives includes diabetes management, cooking tips for diabetes, meal planning and exercising with diabetes. The next group topics are:

  • November 18th: Holiday Cooking School 1
  • December 9th: Holiday Cooking School 2

Self Esteem (pdf)
This three-part series program is designed to help participants learn how to develop a higher level of self esteem, understand the importance of having a high level of self esteem, and how to maintain a high level of self esteem.

Stress Management (pdf)
This program will help you learn how to identify causes of stress, determine if you are often prone to stress and how to cope with stress.

Personal Financial Planning (pdf)
This opportunity is a personal investment in yourself. Our three-part program will help you to learn the importance of and how to write financial goals and budgets; take control of your money; make wise investments; and plan for a secure future.

Diabetes Support Group (pdf)
This is a free program DeKalb Extensions offers monthly to the public. Join us to obtain useful information to help with the prevention and management of diabetes

2008 Arbor Day Tree Contest (pdf)
One official winner will be recognized at a county ceremony for Arbor Day. This contest is sponsored by Keep DeKalb Beautiful, Georgia Forestry Commission, DeKalb Parks and Recreation, and the DeKalb Cooperative Extension.
