4-H Program Guide
What is 4-H?

4-H is a youth organization that provides youth ages 9-19 with the opportunity to participate in a wide range of activities such as summer camps, judging events, community service, County Project Achievement (CPA) and District Project Achievement. We are the youth component of the University of Georgia Cooperative Extension.
Along with providing positive youth development, 4-H teaches responsibility, caring, communication skills, public speaking skills, and self-confidence.
Who is Eligible?
Any youth ages 9-19 may join 4-H. Youth and adults can find a place in DeKalb County 4-H. 4-H staff will help you pursue involvement in the County and access to world of opportunities in 4-H. Select from more than 50 project areas, participate in any of hundreds of events, apply for scholarships, and travel around the world. Please see options below.
Where Do 4-H Clubs Meet?
4-H clubs are part of the DeKalb County school system. More than fifty schools have clubs which meet biweekly either before or after school. Other clubs meet in communities or apartment complexes.
How much does it cost?
There is a $3.00 annual activity fee and some optional activities may have a small charge.
What about parents?
Parents are an important part of 4-H activities and are always welcome at any activity or club meeting.
