Our mission is to extend lifelong learning to DeKalb County citizens through unbiased, research-based education in horticulture, the environment, communities, youth and families.

Our goal is to educate homeowners, master gardeners and green industry representatives about how to manage soil and water to produce healthy, environmentally friendly gardens and landscapes - landscapes that increase property values and preserve our neighborhoods. Individuals and families learn critical life skills affecting their lives today and in the future. Those in family living programs represent DeKalb citizens including parents, teenage mothers, low-income audiences, families in crisis, immigrants, child/personal care home providers, and senior citizens.
