The new Agriculture and Natural Resources Agent is here. His name is Robbie Edalgo.
Robbie Edalgo grew up in Cordele, Georgia (watermelon country). He started postsecondary education at Okefenokee Technical College in Waycross Georgia. After one successful year in the forestry program, he transferred to Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC) where he ultimately graduated in 2000 with an Associates of Science and a minor in Forest Resources. After graduation at ABAC, he transferred to the Warnell School of Forest Resources at the University of Georgia where Robbie would earn a Bachelors Degree in Wildlife Management and meet the girl who would become his wife. Robbie and Jen Edalgo moved to Morgantown, West Virginia where they both earned Masters Degrees at West Virginia University. Robbie earned his degree in Applied Social Research with moneys provided by a Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education Grant and the West Virginia Cooperative Extension Service. Since graduation, Robbie had been employed with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission as a Regional Nuisance Wildlife Biologist and as a middle school teacher at Peniel Baptist Academy. Robbie and Jen had their first child a little boy on August 22, 2007 named Fisher.
Robbie has interest in nuisance wildlife and vegetable gardens.
