Poultry Judging Competition
4-H Poultry Judging Competition
Camden County 4-H’ers participated in the District Poultry Judging Contest in Statesboro, GA on April 26, 2007. The 4-H’ers attended after school practice sessions for two months and studied hens for past egg production, techniques of grading and candling an egg, and ready to cook birds. Team 1 consisting of Sachi Delacruz, Taylor Harrell, Altimease Lowe, Christine Raab, Kalina Kolodziejczjk, Cody Carter, and Halie Mathews placed 2nd and Team 2 consisting of Cera Weaver, Memphis Franks, Jessica Baker, Daniel Gibbs, Daniel Smyk, Kimberly Castro, and Caroline Campbell placed 5th out of nine junior teams. Camden 4-H’ers having top individual scores were Sachi Delacruz placing 4th, Taylor Harrell placing 7th, Cera Weaver placing 8th, and Altimease Lowe placing 10th overall out of 46 junior individuals. Also participating on a Senior Team were Holly Carter, Ashley Hill, and Dylan Cole.
