Cloverleaf Programs are for 5th & 6th grade youth.

Club Meetings
4-H staff meets with each 5th grade class during school for club meetings. The elected 4-H officers help lead the meeting.

Officer's Training

5th grade 4-H'ers who were elected by their classmates will attend officer's training at the Camden County Recreation Center on September 22nd& 23rd. They will learn about Robert's Rule of Order, how to run a club meetings, and their individual jobs at President, First Vice President, Second Vice President, Reporter, Historian, and Secreatary. The 4-H'ers will meet junior and senior 4-H'ers and learn 4-H songs and eat pizza.

Project Achievement
4-H’ers are encouraged to complete a speech with at least three posters on any topic they choose.  The 4-H’ers will give a demonstration in the classroom and at the district event called District Project Achievement. At the Cloverleaf level (5th & 6th grade), D.P.A. is a one-day event in Alma, Ga.

Those 4-H'ers that participate in DPA in Alma will recieve a free trip to Summer Waves Water Park on Jekyll Island this summer.

So what is in it for me?  Free trip, free lunch, fun day & carnival games with friends, represent Camden Co., and an awesome learning experience. Wow, you will be proud of yourself!

Step #1: Pick a project from the list.

Step #2: Pick a topic within your project. Look for something that interests you. 
                        For example: Project: Archaeology/Topic: Mummies


Step #3: Develop your presentation (demonstration). 

            Try to narrow your subject to one main idea.

Step #4: Use an outline to help you organize your presentation and make a supply list.                          Introduction

                        Conclusion


Step #5: Write out your presentation and put on index cards.


Step #6: Prepare your visual aids (posters, props, PowerPoint, etc.)


Step #7: Practice your demonstration: take a deep breath and begin with a smile.

4-H District Project Achievement 2007

Cloverleaf Camp

Cloverleaf Camp is for 5th & 6th grade 4-H'ers. In 2008, Camden County will attend Rock Eagle 4-H Center July 7 - 11, 2008. The total cost is $275. Fifth grade 4-H'ers that participated in Tree Identification, Cotton Boll & Consumer Judging, District BB Competition, and/or District Poultry Judging Competition will be eligible for a $40 discount off of their final camp payment. Sixth grade 4-H'ers will use the point system for discounts.

We need adult volunteers to come to camp. If you are interested, please call the 4-H office at 576-3219.
