Cotton Boll & Consumer Judging

District Contest Statesboro, GA - October 30, 2006

Consumer Judging helps the 4-H’ers determine what makes a consumer product better than another.  They will be looking at cost, manufacturing, methods, and nutritional information to make their decision.  This year the products include jeans, alarm clock, frozen pizzas, and Internet shopping.  With Cotton Boll, the 4-H’er will learn about cotton during their practice sessions.  The Cloverleaf 4-H’ers will be asked to put together and demonstration a 30 second commercial on cotton and the senior 4-H’ers will give a speech on cotton. The 4-H’ers will learn about all aspect of each of these products in the after school practice sessions and test their knowledge in Statesboro on October 30th.
