S.A.F.E. Program
Shooting, Awareness, Fun, & Education
S.A.F.E. is an opportunity to learn about shooting safety and have fun in a 4-H competitive event. 4-H’ers 5th – 8th grades will have the opportunity to participate in the B.B. Gun Team. 4-H'ers 9th - 12th grade will have the opportunity to participate in the air pistol, competition. We will have an informational meeting very soon.
2008 - 2009 School Year Orientation
There will be an orientation on September 25, 2008 from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. at the Camden County Recreation Center Activity Room to discuss the new practice schedule and season. Hope to see you there!!!
BB Gun - 5th - 8th grade
District Competition is March 14, 2009 in Wayne County. State competition is May 1 - 3, 2009 at Rock Eagle 4-H Center. For more information call Conn Cole at 576-2653.

4-H S.A.F.E. Shooting Sports – BB Team & Air Pistol
The 4-H SAFE BB Team led by volunteer leaders Conn & Trudy Cole attended District Competition in Wayne County on March 17th which qualified the participants for State Competition at Rock Eagle 4-H Center on May 4 – 6, 2007. SAFE stands for Shooting, Awareness, Fun, and Education. Both volunteers attended training and scheduled after school practice sessions for 4-H’ers for every Monday and Thursday since September. This activity is available for 4-H’ers in 5th – 8th grade. Team members included Nic Cole, Doug Myers, Frazier Smith, Andy Gowen, Evan Jenkins, Brandi Nabours, Carter Smith, Eric Ruff, Jared Warner, Nikki Palmer-Samuels, Tessa Shanklin, Grace Ashcroft and Nathan Ashcroft.
The 4-H SAFE Air Pistol Team also competited at State Competition at Rock Eagle 4-H Center. Team members Dylan Cole and David Myers were coached by Beth Carter and Conn Cole.
These teams were sponsored by Sharon Rawl and the Camden County 4-H program and would like to thank William Brunson and the Camden County Recreation Department for use of PSA facilities, and Camden Carpet & Paint for carpet samples.
