Senior Programs are for 9th - 12th grade youth.
Club Meetings
The senior 4-H club meetings are usually in the evenings at clubhouse at the PSA Soccer Complex (off of Kingsbay Road across from the shopping center that has Alltel & Aunt B’s.). In the meetings will we discuss the upcoming 4-H activities, community service projects, and a curriculum based lesson plans.

Project Achievement
4-H’ers are encouraged to complete a speech with at least three posters on any topic they choose. The 4-H’ers will give a demonstration in the classroom and at the district event called District Project Achievement. At the Junior level (7th & 8th grade), D.P.A. is a weekend event at Rock Eagle 4-H Center.
Senior Project List
Junior - Senior DPA will be on Feburary 1 - 3, 2008.
Portfolio workdays will be at the 4-H office on December 20 & 21 and January 7 - 9.
Portfolio's are due on January 11 along the a disk copy of the portfolio.
We will also be presenting your demonstrations during the January Club Meeting.

Camden County 4-H’ers from St. Marys Middle, Camden Middle, and Camden High School participated in District Project Achievement on February 9th – 11th at Rock Eagle 4-H Center. The 4-H’ers were asked to choose a subject that interest them and prepare a demonstration to present in front of judges at this district contest. In comparison to the Cloverleaf DPA for 5th and 6th graders, these students were also required to put together a portfolio of the work they had done related to their project within the last year. This portfolio also included the 4-H’ers activities related to leadership, community service, school and community activities.
Participants included Maribeth Bottorff, who placed first in Environmental Science; Justina Outler, who placed second in Housing and Environment; and Ashley Hill, who placed third in Companion Animals. Also participating in this competition were Holly Carter – Health, Jaime Kelsey – Computers, Dylan Cole – Target Sports, and Taylor Harrell – Performing Arts, Dance.
The 4-H’ers exhibited leadership skills while increasing their knowledge and public speaking skills. Congratulations to all participants.
Senior Camp
2008 Senior Camp - Burton 4-H Center - 9th - 12th grade
June 30 - July 4, 2008
Senior Camp is for 9th - 12th grade 4-H'ers. This week of camp will be at Camp Burton on Tybee Island from June 30 - July 4, 2008. The total cost is $275. Participants will enjoy a dolphin cruise, riverboat dinner tour, dances, a Savannah Ghost Tour, and fun at the beach with their friends. 4-H'ers may use point system for a discount off of their final camp payment.

2006 Senior Camp - Wahsega 4-H Center
The Senior 4-H’ers (9th – 12th grade) enjoyed a week of fun with activities at Six Flags Theme Park, downtown Dahlonega experience with a visit to the Gold Museum, planning a carnival for local kids, a campfire, high-ropes course, a luau, and classes about financial literacy.
Youth Summit - September 20 - 22, 2008
Four full scholarships are available to this weekend retreat to Rock Eagle 4-H Center to learn about community involvement and leadership.
Weekend at the Classic City - Apil 12 & 13, 2008
Open to 9th - 12th graders to tour the University of Georgia and learn what college life has to offer. Other colleges will also be present at this event.
Fall Forum - December 13 & 14, 2008
A weekend at Rock Eagle 4-H Center to learn about 4-H, financial literacy, and have fun with your new 4-H friends.
4-H Day at UGA Football Game - September 15 & 16, 2006
Camden and Glynn County 4-H’ers enjoyed the football game between the University of Georgia Bulldogs and University of Alabama Birmingham Blazers on Saturday, September 16th. This event was the 32nd annual 4-H Day at UGA to promote the college and activities to 4-H’ers in Georgia. The 4-H’ers began the day with the South Campus Tailgate Party sponsored by the College of Agriculture and Environmental Science with food, crafts, games, and animals. The stadium highlighted the 4-H by hanging the 4-H flag with the American flag. Many of the 4-H’ers enjoyed their first experience at the University of Georgia and a college football game. They cheered the Bulldogs onto a 34-0 victory over the Blazers.
