Master Gardener Program
Master Gardeners complete an intensive eleven week training led by University specialists, County Extension Agents, and local specialists. Upon completion of the class, they are required to complete 50 hours of volunteer work the first year and 25 hours each subsequent year. Volunteer activities include such things as: speaking engagements, junior master gardener program, "Ask a Master Gardener" clinics, and community gardens. The course is offered every other year.
