2010 Master Gardener Library Programs - The A. Mitchell Powell Jr. Public Library is again hosting Master Gardener presentations. The next gardening program will be held on Friday, August 6 at 11:00 a.m.

Backyard Association - The Backyard Association is sponsored by the Coweta County Master Gardeners and provides free gardening sessions for the general public the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m.The sessions last approximately one hour, and Master Gardeners are available before and after the session to help with gardening questions. Call (770) 254-2620 to register for door prizes.

Surplus Vegetable Market - The Surplus Vegetable Market has closed but will reopen June 5, 2010. We look forward to seeing everyone again next year. If you would like more information on selling your surplus vegetables at the market, click on the embedded links to receive your copy of the Rules and Regulations and a Registration Form or call the Extension office at 770-254-2620.

Environmental Science Club LogoThe University of Georgia Cooperative Extension - Coweta County and Yamaha Motor Manufacturing Company are partnering to form the Coweta County Environmental Science Club, an environmental educational program for adults and students (fourth grade and up). Call the Extension Office for more details.

CONSERVING WATER IN COWETA COUNTY  

The University of Georgia Cooperative Extension in coordination with area agencies provides useful information regarding water conservation.  Several Web sites have wonderful information on how you can conserve water, outdoor and indoor conservation tips, and links to other sites that also provide excellent information.
